A customer sent us a very small, distorted picture of a shield with a helmet on it, wanting it to be redrawn for a t-shirt print. Some elements of the design were to be left out, with just the basic design reproduced. Because the photograph was taken from a piece of cloth, the lines of the design were crooked and pixelated. A template was made in Illustrator, and the photograph locked onto it. A pen drawing was made of the design with the Illustrator pen tool, then the drawing was straightened, and the dimensions made uniform, then the design was filled with flat colours.  This is a sample of the original photograph:
